Ginza Kamo Soba Kyudaime Keisuke (銀座 鴨そば 九代目けいすけ) is a Ramen restaurant brought over from Japan by chef Keisuke.  With various specialized ramen already in Singapore, the latest addition by Chef Keisuke is a rich duck-based stock ramen. The restaurant offers different degrees of richness in their broths (light or thick) topped with slices of roasted duck that are from premium Irish hybrid ducks for its tender texture, fat content and rich flavour.

In order to give the skin a nice char, the duck is grilled and marinated in a special shoyu-based sauce and lastly, steamed at 65 degrees Celsius for a juicy bite. Duck bones and herbs are also added to the stock and left simmered for at least eight hours over a strong fire to create this signature ramen.

The Holland Village Market & Food Centre is the place to go for affordable, scrumptious local delicacies when one’s cravings are kicking in. Offering familiar local dishes like chicken rice, nasi lemak, fish slice soup, prawn noodle soup and more , the place offers what many locals would consider as comfort food at a location that is otherwise known to be quite upscale.

The place is famous for its Laksa and Nasi Lemak along with many other dishes. One would find many expats enjoying pints of beer in the evening as the food centre has an open-concept and hence, is breezy at night. It is a cheaper alternative to the pubs nearby.

For those who prefer a wet market for fresh foods instead of a supermarket chain, the market here is bustling with activities in the morning too.
